I’m going to admit it, I am really quite excited for this review of Rank Math SEO. During my preliminary research, it was the plugin I got most excited about, so I am thrilled to take a detailed look at it.

I am not the only one with this opinion. The plugin directory shows that Rank Math has 800,000+ active installations and people have given it 4.9 out of 5 stars, which is pretty impressive. Only two other plugins that I tested so far managed to score the same rating.

In this post, I will review Squirrly SEO. After The SEO Framework last time, this is the second SEO plugin in this series that I have genuinely never used before (the other plugins I reviewed are Yoast SEO, All in One SEO, Rank Math, and SEOPress). Consequently, I’m looking forward to exploring it with the eyes of a newcomer.

As for the plugin itself, Squirrly SEO currently boasts north of 90,000 installs at a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars. It describes itself as an “A.I.-based Private SEO Consultant. In a Plugin. Powered by Machine Learning and Cloud Services.”. It’s also the first plugin that is compatible with other SEO extensions. Consequently, you can run it in addition to, not just instead of, any other plugin in this series.

I’m excited to see what it has to offer in terms of features, settings, premium offers, and pros and cons.

At this point, in the review series, we will turn to The SEO Framework. This is the first plugin that I have genuinely never used in my life. Consequently, it will be interesting to see my impression from a first-time user’s point of view.

As usual, we will look into the plugin setup process and available options, go over all its features and see what makes it stand out. We will also check what it has to offer in terms of a premium edition. Finally, the post will list the pros and cons of the plugin so you can understand if it’s right for you.

In today’s post, we are continuing with our series on the best WordPress SEO plugins. After Yoast SEO, this time we have the grand dame of WordPress SEO plugins on the review chopping block: All in One SEO (formerly known as All-in-One SEO Pack).

A mainstay on the list of most popular plugins, the plugin has been around since 2007. In 2020, it was acquired by Awesome Motive, the company behind WPBeginner, OptinMonster, and other ventures and WordPress plugins. At the time of this writing All in One SEO boasts more than two million installs and a rating of 4.7 stars. It has over a thousand 5-star ratings.

Yoast SEO has been my go-to SEO plugin for years. I use it on pretty much all of my own and my client sites and I have recommended it to anyone asking me for a good SEO plugin for as long as I remember. So, why would I decide to write a review of Yoast SEO now?

Well, recently, in hanging around the WordPress subreddit and generally listening to the chatter in the WordPress sphere, I have come to realize that there a whole bunch of new SEO plugins that I know nothing about. In addition, some plugins that I have used in the past have gone through years of development and might be completely different now.

That’s why I have decided to write a series of reviews of the best available WordPress SEO plugins and compare them to one another (here are the other reviews: All in One SEO, The SEO Framework, Squirrly SEO, Rank Math SEO, SEOPress). This is both to get myself up to date and also provide an overview and advice to those trying to decide on which SEO plugin to use.
